Max People is looking for an experienced Yardperson to join a busy commercial construction team on a major long-term project based in Lincoln, Christchurch.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping the project running efficiently. From coordinating deliveries and organising materials to operating machinery, managing stores, and supporting the site crew, no two days are the same.

If you're someone who enjoys being organised, likes to stay busy, and takes pride in keeping everything in the right place at the right time, you'll be a valuable part of this experienced construction team. With a three-year project, competitive rates, and a supportive crew, this is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a respected commercial contractor.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coordinating site deliveries and material movements
• Managing the yard, stores, and storage areas
• Receiving, checking, and organising incoming materials
• Maintaining stock levels and assisting with inventory control
• Operating a telehandler and other site plant where required
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Supporting the site team with general labouring tasks
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and running smoothly
• Following all site health and safety procedures

What We Require

• Previous experience in a yard, stores, or construction support role
• Commercial construction site experience preferred
• NZQA Telehandler qualification (or equivalent) highly desirable
• WTR endorsements advantageous
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to get stuck in
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid NZ working rights
