Trade Assistant | Part Time | Christchurch

Max People is looking for a fit, reliable and hardworking Trade Assistant to join an experienced installation team in Christchurch.

This is a consistent part-time role working every Thursday and Friday, assisting tradespeople with glass installations and general site duties.

If you’re physically fit, practical and the type of person who sees a job that needs doing and just gets on with it, this could be a great fit. Plus, you’ll get your steps up without needing a gym membership!

What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day installation work
• Helping lift, carry and position glass panels
• Moving and preparing materials
• Keeping work areas clean and organised
• Cleaning up and tidying once installation work is complete
• Assisting with general site duties as required
• Following instructions and working safely as part of the team

What We Require

• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Reliable and able to commit to every Thursday and Friday
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Able to follow instructions and work safely on site
• Previous construction or labouring experience is an advantage, but not essential
• Own transport would be beneficial
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
