Skilled Labourers / Hammerhands - Large Commercial Site

About The Role:

‍Max People are seeking strong and reliable Skilled Labourers / Hammerhands to join our team on a large commercial construction site in Dunedin. You’ll be assisting with the replacement of 300 fire doors, core drilling over four floors, and soft strip demolition of non-structural materials. This role is ideal for someone physically fit, confident with hand and power tools, and ready to put in solid work hours. You’ll be working safely off scaffold and required to work through the Christmas period (excluding statutory holidays).

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assisting with replacement of 300+ fire doors
• Performing core drilling across four floors
• Carrying out soft strip demolition
• Working safely off scaffold under supervision
• Using drills, power tools, and hand tools daily
• Manual handling and site clean-up tasks

What We Require:

• Proven construction or demolition experience
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Competent with drills and power tools
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Working at Heights or Scaffold User ticket advantageous
