‍Max People are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to lead commercial construction projects across the Central Otago region.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional wanting to work on high-quality commercial builds ranging from $2M-$7M. You'll take ownership of projects from site establishment through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and productivity targets are consistently achieved.This role suits someone who enjoys leading teams, driving project outcomes, and taking pride in delivering high-quality commercial builds.

What You Will Be Doing‍

• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Coordinating subcontractors and site staff
• Monitoring project timelines and budgets
• Ensuring health & safety compliance across all site activities
• Driving quality workmanship across all stages of construction
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and management teams
• Maintaining project delivery in line with programme expectations
• Leading site teams and promoting a positive team culture

What We Require‍

• Previous experience in a Site Manager or Lead Foreman role
• Strong background delivering commercial construction projects
• Proven ability managing subcontractors, site teams, and programmes
• Excellent understanding of NZ commercial construction standards and methodologies
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Trade qualified Carpenter or Construction Management background preferred
• Passion for health & safety and enforcing company procedures
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deliver projects to a high standard and within deadlines
• Full driver's licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
