About The Role

‍Max People is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Asphalt & Roading professionals for several major infrastructure projects commencing throughout the last quarter of the year.

With work expected across Christchurch, Queenstown, Blenheim and the wider Marlborough region, we're building our talent pool now so we're ready when projects begin.

If you have experience in asphalt, civil construction or roading and are happy to travel where the work is, we'd love to hear from you.

What You Will Be DoingWe are seeking experienced people for a variety of roles, including:

• Asphalt Paving Machine Operators
• Asphalt Roller Operators
• Milling Machine Operators
• Sealing Crew Members
• Class 2 & Class 4 Drivers
• Asphalt Labourers
• Multi-skilled Civil Operators

Projects may involve:

• Asphalt paving and surfacing
• Chip sealing and reseal works
• Milling and profiling
• Heavy machinery operation
• Civil construction and road maintenance
• General labouring and supporting site crews

Successful applicants must be willing to:

• Travel throughout the South Island as required
• Stay away from home for project work
• Work day and night shifts
• Work extended hours during peak project periods
• Work safely in a physically demanding outdoor environment

What We Require

• Previous asphalt, roading or civil construction experience
• Full NZ Class 2 or Class 4 Driver Licence
• WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) endorsement
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Physically fit with a strong work ethic
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this

Highly regarded:‍

• Class 5 Licence
• Traffic Management (TC, TMO or STMS)
• First Aid Certificate
• Experience operating paving, milling or sealing equipment
