About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a busy team delivering water infrastructure and land development projects in Queenstown.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows how to take a project from concept through to construction, keep the moving parts moving, and make sure the job is delivered safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard.

You’ll be working across three water infrastructure projects, coordinating consultants, contractors and project stakeholders while providing strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

And yes, there’s a company vehicle – handy for getting between projects while enjoying a bit of that Queenstown scenery!

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 per year, negotiated based on experience

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead water infrastructure projects from concept through construction
  • Manage project scope, programme, budget, risk and quality
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
  • Monitor contractor health and safety activities, performance and results
  • Prepare project reports and track key milestones
  • Manage project governance, procurement and commercial outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with clients, councils, utilities and asset owners
  • Lead large, complex and strategically significant projects
  • Provide leadership across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Mentor and support team members
  • Jump in and tackle any other tasks required to keep projects moving

What We Require

  • Demonstrated project delivery experience in the water / Three Waters sector
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, procurement and commercial management
  • Proven construction delivery experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a client-facing environment
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to work confidently with asset owners, utilities, councils, consultants and contractors
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring others
  • Site Safe certification
  • Full Class 1 licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
