Full Job Description

‍Fit, reliable and not afraid of a hard day's work? We've got the job for you!Max People are looking for a physically fit, hardworking Labourer to join an established brick and blocklaying crew in Queenstown.This isn't a job for someone who wants to stand around! You'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople, helping keep the job moving and getting stuck into a variety of hands-on tasks.Some sites are on hills and uneven ground, so you'll need to be fit, steady on your feet and comfortable with physically demanding work.If you're someone who turns up on time, works hard and gets along with the crew, we want to hear from you!

‍What You'll Be Doing‍

• Assisting bricklayers and blocklayers with daily site tasks
• Moving bricks, blocks, mortar and building materials
• Mixing mortar and preparing materials for the tradesmen
• Loading, unloading and keeping materials organised
• Working across sites with sloping and uneven ground
• Keeping work areas tidy, safe and running smoothly
• Getting stuck into general labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For‍

• Good physical fitness and ability to handle demanding manual work
• Reliable, punctual and ready to put in a solid day's effort
• Comfortable working on hills, slopes and uneven terrain
• Previous construction or labouring experience an advantage
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable transport to get to and from work
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
