Heavy Machinery Operator | Auckland

About The Role:

‍Max People are looking for an experienced Heavy Machinery Operator for full-time, long-term work on high-profile civil construction projects across Auckland.

You’ll be operating a wide range of mobile plant including excavators, rollers, haul trucks, dozers, and diggers – supporting everything from ground prep and trenching to bulk excavation and batter trimming.

What You’ll Be Doing:‍

• Operating plant including excavators, diggers, dozers, rollers, and trucks
• Ground prep, bulk earthworks, trenching, batter trimming
• Loading trucks, spotting duties, and general site tasks
• Conducting pre-start inspections and safe operation
• Using hand and power tools as required
• Maintaining and cleaning machinery and tools
• Reporting safety hazards or incidents and following procedures
• Supporting team operations as directed by the supervisor

What We Require:‍

• Minimum 3 years’ machinery operating experience
• Proven skills on multiple plant types
• High safety awareness and a proactive attitude
• Good communication and team reliability
• Machinery tickets/licences a bonus
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
