This is a family-owned farm and a great steppingstone to anyone wanting to learn the dairy industry in New Zealand. The farm is situation close to the Rakaia River and offers a great spot for those who love hunting & Fishing and of course skiing those slopes at Mount Hutt in the Winter or soaking in the Opuke Hot Pools on your days off. Milking 540 cows through a 54-bale rotary with automatic cup removers and automatic teat sprayers.

Roles and Responsibilities:‍

• Milking
• Bringing in cows for milking
• Assisting with animal health
• Mating
• Calving & Calf Rearing
• Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences
• Assisting with irrigation
• Weed control
• General farm and machinery maintenance.
• Tractor work

Role Requirements‍

• Ability to pass a drug test
• Hold a current and valid drivers license
• Reliable transport
• You also must have good English
• Legal right to work in NZ (unable to support an AEWV)
• Previous experience with stock is an advantage
