Experienced Structural Steel Erectors – $35–$40/hr – Immediate Start

About The Role:

We’re urgently seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors for major commercial projects in southwest Christchurch. You'll be part of a tight-knit, skilled crew working with a well-known construction company specialising in large-scale builds like warehouses and commercial facilities.

This is a hands-on role involving steel installation, site prep, and working at heights. If you’re ready to hit the ground running and want to work with a team that values skill, safety, and solid performance—this is your opportunity!

What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Installing structural steel and strengthening components
• Working at heights and using cranes and Hiabs
• Reading and interpreting site drawings
• Measuring and preparing for installs
• Problem-solving and collaborating on-site
• Working on large warehouse and commercial structures

‍

What We Require:‍

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a steel erector or rigger
• Fit and able to work at heights
• Current Site Safe and WAH/Safety Harness certs
• Welding/fabrication tickets a bonus, not essential
• Own hand and battery tools (larger saws supplied)
• Strong site awareness and safety focus
• Able to provide recent work references
