About The Role Max People are recruiting on behalf of Calder Group for two experienced Commercial Carpenters to join a major processing plant construction project based in Edendale, approximately 30 minutes from Invercargill.This large-scale commercial build is expected to run through the remainder of 2026, providing consistent long-term work for experienced contractors wanting stability and quality project exposure.This role is suited to experienced carpenters who enjoy working across multiple stages of commercial builds and have a strong background in structural and concrete work.

What You Will Be Doing

• Concrete formwork and construction work
• Supporting structural steel and iron installation
• General commercial carpentry duties
• General site construction work
• Working alongside experienced commercial construction crews
• Completing work safely and to a high standard
• Supporting wider site activities where required

What We Require

• Minimum 5 years' commercial construction experience
• Strong background working with concrete, steel, and iron
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
• Reliable, safety-focused, and hardworking attitude
• Own tools and reliable transport preferred
• Ability to work independently as a contractor
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid NZ working rights
