Excavator Operator - Wellington Project

About The Role:‍

We’re looking for a skilled Excavator Operator to join the team on this nation-shaping infrastructure development linking Wellington and Lower Hutt. You’ll be working with a Tier One contractor as part of a highly collaborative alliance. This is your chance to contribute to one of Aotearoa’s most iconic coastal builds!

You’ll be operating large excavators from 12-tonne to 30-tonne, handling bulk earthworks and final trim with precision. It’s a role that demands accuracy, experience, and a strong team ethic. ‍

What You Will Be Doing:

• Bulk earthworks and material movement
• Gravel placement and compaction
• Precision grading and final trim work
• Shaping carparks, roads, and shared pathways
• General excavator duties as needed

‍

What We Require:

• Proven experience on 12T–30T excavators
• Skilled in final trim and reading plans
• WTR and Full Class 1 licence (Class 2+ preferred)
• Full PPE (ankle to wrist)
• Strong health & safety mindset
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
