Directional Drillers - Christchurch

About The Role

‍Max People are looking for two skilled Directional Drillers to join our client’s team in Christchurch. With the largest HDD fleet in the South Island, this crew delivers specialist trenchless solutions across Canterbury and nationwide. You’ll be operating directional drilling rigs, installing underground services, and working on challenging projects across roads, waterways, and sensitive environments.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating directional drilling rigs and related equipment
• Installing underground services – power, water, gas, telecommunications
• Tackling projects across roadways, waterways & sensitive environments
• Supporting the crew with hands-on site work and problem-solving

‍

What We Require

• 2+ years’ experience in directional drilling (HDD)
• Full Class 2 (or above) licence – WTR endorsements a bonus
• Confidence with heavy machinery and site work
• Physically fit and reliable with a positive attitude
• Flexibility to travel for projects an advantage
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
