Through our new partnership with FRS Farm Relief Services in Ireland, we’re offering young Kiwis, New Zealand-based farm workers and eligible backpackers(18–30) the chance to live and work on Irish farms during their busy spring calving season.Experience life in the Northern Hemisphere like never before — from celebrating St Patrick’s Day right at the source, surrounded by authentic Irish music, culture, and legendary hospitality, to exploring quaint villages and vibrant cities across Ireland. On your days off, Europe is at your doorstep: hop on a budget flight or train and you could be sipping coffee in Paris, touring castles in Scotland, or sunning on a Spanish beach. It’s the perfect blend of farm life, cultural immersion, and the freedom to discover Europe with ease.

‍Role Details‍

• Work on family-run Irish farms during their peak calving season
• Milking 100- 250 cows, calf rearing, general animal health & farm maintenance
• Learn the ins and outs of intensive spring block calving systems
• Typically working up to 60 hours/week on a roster over busy times
• €13.50/hour (NZ equivalent ~$26–27/hour) + accommodation & two meals/day
• Airport pickup on arrival, local orientation, banking & tax set-up, ongoing pastoral care
• Insurance arranged for accident & sickness loss of earnings

Role Requirements‍

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on dairy farm experience, including milking
• Experience with calving highly desirable
• Confident with stock, machinery, and general farm duties
• Meet Irish visa & health requirements (clean record, drug-free, fit to work)
• Enthusiastic, hardworking, and keen to learn new systems & build global experience
