The Opportunity

Join a progressive dairy operation in Fairlie, milking 1,200 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed with automatic cup removers. This large-scale unit is run alongside 500ha of support operations, providing real scope and variety — perfect for someone wanting to build their skills on a busy farm over the peak season.Role Details

• Milking 1,200 cows on an 11 on / 3 off roster
• Modern 60-bail rotary with ACRs
• Predominantly pivot irrigation (90% coverage)
• General farm duties: feeding out, animal health, irrigation checks, shed hygiene
• $28/hour + single-unit accommodation on farm
• Fixed term role from July to December, with potential to return next season

Role Requirements

• Experience on a large-scale dairy farm (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Confident working around big herds and modern dairy systems
• Physically fit, proactive, and a strong communicator
• Full driver’s license and able to pass drug testing
