Dairy Assistant + Calf Rearer

About The Role:‍

Max people have a great opportunity on a farm based in Farlie milking 750 cows. Our client is looking for two people and offering 1 full time position for a dairy assistant long term (minimum of 12 months required)  and a second position to help with calf rearing for 6 months (no experience needed for this).

There may be opportunities after calving for the second person.

Roles & Responsibilities:‍

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the dairy farm, including milking, feeding, and caring for cows.
• Monitor and maintain the health and wellbeing of the herd.
• Assist with calving, vaccinations, and general animal husbandry tasks.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

Role Requirements:‍

• Prior experience in dairy farming is essential.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays, as required in the dairy industry.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Pass a drug test
• Current license
• Reliable transport
