Full Job Description

‍Based in Ashburton, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-run farm with a strong team culture and modern infrastructure. Centrally located between Ashburton, Geraldine, and Mayfield, this farm operates a 36-bail internal rotary with ECRs and automatic teat spraying.You'll be part of a team that values attention to detail, efficiency, and animal welfare, working alongside three full-time staff and the farm owner.

‍Details:‍

• Start Date: End of October
• Permanent Role
• Accommodation Provided
• Roster: 7 days on, 2 off / 7 on, 2 off / 7 on, 3 off
• Centrally located with great access to local towns and services

Tasks:‍

• Milking 480 cows through a 36-bail internal rotary shed
• General farm duties including bringing in stock, fencing, and feeding out
• Operating irrigation systems (centre pivot, rotating irrigator, sprinklers, and effluent)
• Machinery use and tractor work for baleage and hay as required
• Supporting animal health and maintaining clean, safe work areas

Requirements:‍

• Minimum 2 years' dairy milking experience
• Irrigation and tractor experience advantageous
• Good English and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (AEWV not available for this role)
