Full Job Description

Located in the Waihao Valley just 15 minutes from Waimate, this is an opportunity to join a well-established and highly systemised dairy farm milking 1,300 peak milk cows across 456 hectares. The farm combines rolling hills and river flats, creating a varied and well-balanced farming environment.

The dairy operates a 60-bail internal rotary featuring ACRs, Allflex milking intelligence, automatic drafting, internal herd testing, in-shed feeding, Waikato plant, and Dataflow Pro. The herd is split-calving, with approximately 400 cows calving in autumn.

A large free-stall cow barn is utilised through winter and during adverse weather, supporting cow comfort, feed efficiency, and animal welfare. The operation is fully spray irrigated and runs a well-designed effluent system integrated through multiple pivots.
