‍Based in Hinds, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking dairy operation that values animal health, efficiency, and technology. The farm milks 640 cows on 220 ha using a 54-bail rotary shed with ACRs, Protrack, and Smaxtec boluses for real-time animal monitoring.You'll work in a motivated, well-supported team with access to quality equipment and modern systems, including pivot and K-Line irrigation and two tractors. The farm also operates a run-off block located just 5 km away, ensuring variety in daily tasks.

• Start Date: Immediate or by arrangement
• Permanent Role
• Location:  Hinds (20 mins to Ashburton)
• Roster: 8 days on, 2 off during spring; 8 on, 2 off / 8 on, 3 off for the rest of the year
• Accommodation: Fully furnished shared accommodation

Tasks:‍

• Milking 640 cows through a modern 54-bail rotary shed
• Supporting animal health monitoring with Smaxtec technology
• Feeding out, fencing, and general farm duties
• Operating tractors and assisting with work on the nearby run-off block
• Irrigation management using pivots and K-Line systems
• Maintaining hygiene and animal welfare standards at all times

Requirements:‍

• Dairy experience preferred
• Good communication and English skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well within a team
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (AEWV not available for this role)
