Class 5 Truck Driver | Livestock Transport

About The Role

‍We’re currently on the lookout for an experienced and reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join a busy livestock transport operation based in Ashburton.This is a hands-on role transporting livestock throughout the Canterbury region, requiring someone with proven livestock handling experience and a strong understanding of animal welfare standards.

You’ll be joining a professional operation with a modern fleet and a supportive team environment, with the opportunity for long-term, ongoing work.Wages: $35 per hour (depending on experience)

‍What You Will Be Doing

‍• Transporting livestock throughout Canterbury

• Safely loading and unloading stock

• Carrying out pre-start checks and maintaining vehicle standards

• Ensuring animal welfare requirements are met at all times

• Following transport schedules and delivery requirements

• Operating safely and professionally on farms and roads

‍What We Require

‍• Current Class 5 licence

• Previous livestock handling and transport experience

• Confidence loading and unloading stock safely

• Strong understanding of animal welfare requirements

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures

• Reliable with a strong work ethic

• Flexible with hours and early starts when required

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
