Class 4 Driver | Civil Construction | Chch

Got your Class 4 and know your way around a civil site?

Max People are looking for experienced Class 4 Truck Drivers to join busy civil construction crews working across Christchurch.

This isn't a job where you'll spend every minute sitting behind the wheel. You'll be carting materials, operating truck and trailer units, supporting site operations and jumping in with the crew when an extra pair of hands is needed.

From subdivisions to major infrastructure projects, there's plenty of variety and no shortage of work to keep you moving.

We're after drivers who know their trucks, understand site safety and aren't afraid to get their boots dirty.

‍What You'll Be Doing

• Driving truck and trailer units safely and efficiently
• Loading, carting and spreading materials across civil sites
• Transporting materials and equipment between projects
• Operating small plant and machinery, including rollers, loaders, compactors and excavators, where experienced and authorised
• Assisting civil crews with general site work and labouring
• Carrying out vehicle checks and maintaining equipment
• Following site safety procedures and keeping work areas tidy

What We're Looking For

• Full, clean NZ Class 4 driver's licence
• Current logbook competency and understanding of driving hours
• Experience loading, carting and spreading materials with truck and trailer units
• Civil construction experience preferred
• Small plant operating experience advantageous
• Willingness to jump out of the cab and assist the crew
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
• A good team player with a practical attitude
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

What's In It For You?

• Competitive hourly rates based on experience
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing, full-time work
• Established civil contractors with busy project pipelines
• Variety of subdivisions and infrastructure projects across Christchurch
• Supportive crews and modern equipment
• A role that offers more than just driving

If you're a capable Class 4 driver who can handle the truck, knows the civil game and doesn't mind lending a hand, we want to hear from you! Apply online TODAY and join The Max Team!
