CIVIL MACHINE OPERATOR | DRAINAGE

About The Role

‍We’re on the lookout for an experienced Civil Machine Operator to join a skilled team specialising in drainage and deep infrastructure works across Christchurch.This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted on the controls while also supporting the crew on the ground when needed. You’ll be working on technically challenging projects in deep and often wet conditions, so confidence, precision, and a strong safety mindset are key.If you enjoy operating in a fast-paced environment and take pride in high-quality work, this is a great opportunity to step into a long-term role with a reputable contractor.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating excavators and civil plant on drainage projects
• Trenching and working in deep, wet ground conditions
• Assisting with pipe installation and general site works
• Supporting crews across complex civil sites
• Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship

What We Require

• Proven experience in drainage and excavation
• WTR endorsements required
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Experience working around live services
• Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality
• Reliable, team-focused attitude
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
