Max People is looking for experienced Civil Labourers with WTR endorsements to join a busy civil construction team delivering infrastructure, drainage, subdivision, and roading projects throughout Christchurch, Kaiapoi, Rangiora, and Lyttelton.

This is a hands-on role where you'll support experienced operators and tradespeople across every stage of the project. From installing underground services and preparing new subdivisions to assisting with earthworks, drainage, and site establishment, you'll enjoy plenty of variety while building your experience across multiple areas of civil construction.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting with earthworks, trenching, and backfilling
• Supporting drainage, pipe laying, and underground services installation
• Assisting with pavement preparation, compaction, and concreting
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and small plant equipment
• Loading and unloading materials, equipment, and supplies
• Assisting machine operators and civil tradespeople
• Setting up sites, barriers, fencing, and signage
• Carrying out general site maintenance and housekeeping
• Following site safety procedures and participating in toolbox meetings

What We Require

• Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
• WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) – essential
• Previous civil construction or labouring experience
• Reliable transport to get to site
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic and team-focused approach
• First Aid or Confined Space tickets advantageous
• Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
