Civil Labourers | Skilled Outdoor Work

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced Civil Labourers to support outdoor civil projects across Canterbury. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role suited to workers who are confident operating in active civil environments.

You’ll be working in and around water, alongside heavy machinery, and assisting with timber and drainage-related works. Previous experience in similar civil or infrastructure settings is essential — this role is not suitable for entry-level labourers.

That said, we are willing to train the right people with the right attitude, especially if you show potential and a strong work ethic.

If you’re reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, this is a solid opportunity for ongoing civil work.

What You Will Be Doing

• Stripping and replacing timber drains
• Installing posts and rails
• Working safely in and around water
• Operating safely alongside heavy machinery
• Contributing to site productivity and safety standards

What We Require

• Proven civil labouring experience
• Confidence working around heavy machinery
• WTR licence essential
• Experience working in water (gumboots required)
• Carpentry or timber work experience — strong advantage
• Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious
• Full NZ driver licence and reliable transport
• Site Safe or Construct Safe (we can assist if needed)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
