About The Role

‍Max People are recruiting for motivated Civil Labourers to join a busy civil construction team working across North Canterbury.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous civil construction experience who is looking for consistent work, a variety of projects, and the opportunity to develop their skills within a growing team.You'll be working across residential subdivisions, school developments, commercial car parks, and council infrastructure projects, supporting experienced crews to deliver quality outcomes safely and efficiently.

What You Will Be Doing‍

• Kerb and channel preparation
• V-drain installation and preparation
• Assisting drainage and excavation crews
• Site clean-up and general labouring duties
• Hand digging and trenching
• Concrete preparation and finishing assistance
• Maintaining safe and tidy worksites
• Supporting crews to meet project deadlines

Current Projects Include‍

• Residential subdivision developments in Woodend
• School construction projects
• Commercial car park construction
• Council walkway and infrastructure works

What We Require‍

• Previous civil construction experience preferred
• Kerb preparation and V-drain experience highly desirable
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and punctual work ethic
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• WTR endorsements beneficial but not essential
• Full Class 1 Licence preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid NZ working rights
