Civil Labourer / Operator | Ashburton

Max People are looking for a Skilled Civil Labourer / Operator to join a busy crew working across civil projects in Ashburton and the surrounding area.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their way around a civil site and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

If you’re an experienced operator, we’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable jumping out of the machine and getting amongst the crew when needed. No disappearing into the cab for eight hours and pretending you didn’t hear them!

‍What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating civil machinery where required
• General civil labouring and site preparation
• Assisting with earthworks and other civil construction activities
• Moving between operating and ground-based duties
• Working alongside an experienced crew
• Helping wherever needed to keep the job moving
• Following site safety procedures and maintaining a tidy, safe work area

What We’re Looking For

• Solid civil construction experience
• WTR endorsements preferred
• Experienced machinery operators will be considered
• Good understanding of civil site work
• Comfortable switching between operating and labouring duties
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Safety-focused and switched on
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
