Civil Allrounder | Long-Term Canterbury Work

Every crew needs that one person who can turn their hand to just about anything.

Max People are looking for experienced Civil Allrounders to join a major long-term infrastructure project across Christchurch and Canterbury.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. One day you could be supporting drainage crews, the next spotting machinery, operating small plant, helping with earthworks or getting stuck into site preparation.

You'll work alongside experienced civil, drainage and construction crews, picking up new skills while helping keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be asked twice, isn't afraid of a bit of hard yakka, and understands that being a great civil allrounder means pitching in wherever you're needed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting drainage, civil and construction crews
• Spotting machinery and assisting plant operators
• Operating small plant and equipment where required
• Assisting with earthworks, trenching and site preparation
• Loading, unloading and moving materials around site
• Supporting traffic management and maintaining safe work areas
• General civil labouring and site housekeeping
• Assisting with tools, equipment and site setup
• Following site safety procedures and taking part in toolbox meetings
• Pitching in wherever the crew needs an extra set of hands

What We Require

• Previous civil construction or infrastructure experience
• WTR endorsements preferred
• Class 1 or Class 2 NZ Driver Licence advantageous
• Reliable transport and flexibility to work across Christchurch and Canterbury
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on outdoor work
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team-focused with a genuine commitment to health and safety
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
