Carpenter - Wanaka

About The Role

‍Max People are looking for experienced Carpenters to join a growing construction team in Wanaka. You’ll be working across new motel unit developments and residential builds, with long-term projects already underway.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working as part of a solid crew, and can confidently move through different stages of a build.

What You Will Be Doing

• Framing and structural carpentry
• Installing soffits, trims, and skirting
• Formwork and basic concrete duties
• Interior finishing work
• Reading and interpreting plans
• Completing work to a high standard
• Supporting the wider site team where needed

What We Require

• Qualified Carpenter or 3+ years’ relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Confident using power tools and working independently
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Own tools and reliable transport preferred
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Reliable, hardworking, and motivated attitude
