About The Role

‍Max People are recruiting for an experienced Building Foreman to join a residential construction team based in Christchurch. Long-term opportunity with strong rates and ongoing workflow.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality residential builds while leading crews on site and keeping projects running smoothly.You'll oversee residential construction projects from foundation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and programme targets are consistently achieved.

What You Will Be Doing‍

• Supervising carpenters, labourers, and subcontractors
• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Coordinating materials and workflow on site
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Ensuring projects meet quality and programme expectations
• Maintaining a strong health & safety culture
• Liaising with project managers, suppliers, and clients
• Supporting site productivity and team performance

What We Require‍

• Previous experience in a Building Foreman or Leading Hand role
• Residential construction experience essential
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies
• Ability to lead teams and manage site productivity
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong focus on workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliable, motivated, and hands-on approach
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid NZ working rights
