‍Experienced Blocklayer or keen apprentice? We've got the work, you bring the skills and attitude!Max People are looking for experienced Blocklayers and motivated Apprentices to join a busy brick and blocklaying crew in Queenstown.With plenty of long-term work ahead, we're after good tradies who take pride in their workmanship, turn up every day and know how to get the job done.Whether you're an experienced blocklayer who can hit the ground running or an apprentice looking to build your skills alongside a solid crew, we'd love to hear from you.

‍What You'll Be Doing‍

• Laying concrete blocks across a variety of construction projects
• Preparing surfaces, mixing mortar and setting out work
• Working to plans, levels and specifications
• Cutting and positioning blocks to achieve quality finishes
• Assisting with reinforcement and grouting where required
• Working alongside experienced blocklayers and other trades
• Maintaining a tidy, safe and productive worksite
• Apprentices will assist with blocklaying tasks while developing their skills on the job

What We're Looking For‍

• Proven blocklaying experience OR an apprentice with a willingness to learn
• Confidence working with concrete blocks, mortar and associated materials (experienced applicants)
• Ability to read plans and work to specifications (experienced applicants)
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle demanding site work
• Reliability and punctuality – someone who turns up and gets stuck in
• Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a good work pace without compromising quality
• A positive attitude and ability to work well with the crew
• Reliable transport to get to and from site
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
