About The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced onsite welder, specializing in arch welding or gasless wire feeding, for immediate placement on a major project in Christchurch City Centre.Our client is one of the leading suppliers and erectors of structural steel in the South Island. They have completed numerous projects over several decades, including iconic landmarks such as Southland Stadium, Forsythe Barr Stadium, Burwood Hospital, and Christchurch Convention Centre.‍

‍What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Performing onsite welding tasks as required, utilizing arch welding or gasless wire feeding techniques.
• Welding structural steel in place.
• Working with structural steel components.
• Ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborating with the team to meet project deadlines.

‍What We Require:‍

• Proven experience as an onsite welder, specializing in arch welding or gasless wire feeding.
• Minimum of 1 year of onsite welding experience.
• Have WAH (Working at Heights) and Safety and Harness certifications.
• New Zealand qualifications or welding tickets.
• Current EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket required.
• Good command of the English language.
• Own tools may be required.
• Class 1 DL and reliable transport
• Be reliable, trustworthy, and team player.
• A good level of physical fitness
• Strong awareness for all things H&S
• Valid Site Safe - we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
