As a Plumber, you are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of gas and water pipes, sanitation units, and various fixtures in both commercial and residential buildings. You may also be responsible for interpreting blueprints, building codes, and diagnosing issues.
Common duties include locating and repairing leaks, changing and repairing various plumbing parts, choosing the right equipment for each job, and preparing cost estimates for clients. You may also be required to work in different climatic conditions and be available for emergency calls.
You must have experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including the use of various tools like wrenches, hacksaws, and pipe cutters.
A strong focus on diagnosing and solving issues like leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning components is crucial. You must be capable of working under time constraints to ensure timely completion of projects.
