As a Painter or Brush Hand, you will apply coatings like paint, ink, or lacquer to various surfaces. You'll also be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing ingredients, and ensuring the quality of finished work.
You will examine finished surfaces to verify conformance to specifications, retouch any defective areas, and maintain your tools and equipment. You may also be involved in cutting out sections for decorative inlays and glueing decorative pieces.
You must be able to examine workpieces closely to ensure they meet specifications and be skilled in retouching any defective areas.
Knowledge of various coating materials and how to prepare and apply them is crucial. You should also be familiar with the tools and equipment used in painting and decorating.
