What You Will Be Doing:
- Select appropriate materials such as natural stone, bricks or manufactured stone to achieve desired outcomes.
- Cut, shape & polish stones using hand tools & power tools.
- Lay stones with precision, ensuring proper alignment, leveling & mortar application.
- Repair & restore existing stone structures, matching existing patterns & finishes.
- Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and ensure project success.
- Following safety procedures & guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself & others on the construction site.
What We Require:
- Previous experience as a stone mason, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience with Heritage work is ideal
- Proficiency in various stone masonry techniques and tools.
- Solid knowledge of construction materials, techniques & safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings & specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in stone masonry or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid Site Safe - we can assist with this
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
