Forklift Operators

About the Role:
Max People are looking for Forklift Operators to work on a 2-3 mth project at the Tauranga Port. The project will involve lifting steel beams & timber dunnage. Assist with general site works such as stropping steel beams and assisting crane operators.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating 8 tonne forklift.
• Spotting for moving plant.
• Helping with assembly of bolts.
• Assist fitters and rigger dogman with chains and ropes ready for lifting.
• Working at Heights.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely.
• General labouring tasks as required.

 
What we need from you:

• Previous forklift experience is required.
• MUST have FL OSH certificate
• Working at Heights ticket is ideal.
• Must have experience and be comfortable working at heights.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great time management skills.
• Strong health and safety focus
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test & MOJ check.
