Excavator Operator & Civil Labourer

About The Role: Max People are on the lookout for a skilled Excavator Operator and an experienced Civil Labourer to join a civil construction team working around the South Island. You’ll be part of exciting fuel installation projects, helping shape the future while expanding your own skill set.Our Christchurch based client is a leader in constructing and upgrading petrol stations across New Zealand.

What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Operating excavators for site preparation, trenching, and levelling.
• Assisting with tank installation and fuel station construction.
• Performing concrete works, pipework installation, and drainage.
• Maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
• Participating in training sessions to develop additional skills like pipefitting.
• Labourers will be assisting with general site requirements.

What We Require:‍

• Excavator operators - minimum of 2 years site experience
• Civil Labourer - minimum 12 mths site experience
• Class 2 or 4, WTR is advantageous
• Willingness to travel and work away for the project duration.
• Strong commitment to H&S
• Class 1 drivers license & reliable transport
• Valid Site Safe - we can assist with this
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
