Max People are looking for experienced architectural carpenters to join the team on a high end luxury accommodation & restaurant project.

What you'll be doing: - Read & interpret architectural drawings
- Construct, assemble & install architectural elements such as doors, windows, trim, moldings, staircases, cabinetry & other decorative features.
- Ensure precise measurements, cuts & fits to achieve a high level of accuracy & craftsmanship
- Select appropriate materials
- Utilize a range of hand & power tools including saws, chisels, planes, routers & drills
- Utilize various joinery techniques to securely connect & assemble components
- Ensure structural integrity & stability in accordance with industry standards
- Apply finishes such as stains, varnishes, paints or sealants
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow building codes, industry standards & best practices related to carpentry & construction.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors & other professionals
What we need from you: - Strong carpentry skills & expertise in woodworking techniques & joinery.
- Knowledge of various types of wood, their properties & appropriate uses.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand & power tools.
- Attention to detail & ability to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Excellent measurement & mathematical skills.
- Physical stamina & ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending & standing for extended periods.
- Problem-solving skills & ability to adapt to changes in project requirements.
- Knowledge of safety procedures & ability to work safely on construction sites.
- Strong attention to H&S
- Full set of carpentry tools needed
- Understanding of the NZ building code
- Read & interpret architectural drawings & specifications
- Valid Site Safe ticket - we can assist with this
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug check
